Inaugurated in 1925, the Murrayfield Stadium can host more than 67 000 spectators. Before the adjustments which were realized for security reasons, the stadium could receive much more spectators ; indeed, it owns the world record of the number of spectators for a rugby match. In 1975, there were 104 000 spectators for Scotand-Wales. This world record is, in our days, unequalled.
